Short version: we collect your name and email so we can tell you about our events, and we measure how many people visit this site. We don't sell any of it. You can leave any time.
What we collect
What you give us. Your first name and your email address, when you type them into the signup form. We don't ask for anything else.
What your visit tells us. Like most websites, we measure traffic. That means we see which pages get visited, roughly where in the world visitors are, what kind of device and browser they used, and which link sent them here. We use this to find out whether an Instagram post actually brought anyone to the site — not to build a profile of you.
What we do with it
We email you about Keystone Country Swing: event dates, venues, ticket announcements, and occasional news about the community. That's the entire list of reasons we'd contact you.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
Where it's stored
Our email list is hosted by Kit (kit.com), an email marketing service. Your name and email are stored on their systems so we can send you messages. They process this information on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policy.
How to stop hearing from us
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you're off the list immediately, no reply needed. You can also email hello@keystonecountryswing.com and ask us to remove you, and we'll do it.
Seeing or deleting your information
Email hello@keystonecountryswing.com and we'll tell you what we have on file, correct it, or delete it.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics, delivered through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see where they came from. It sets cookies in your browser to tell a returning visitor from a new one. Google processes this data on our behalf and under its own privacy terms.
We do not run advertising or retargeting cookies on this site. If that changes — we may eventually advertise on Instagram or YouTube — we'll ask for your permission before any advertising cookie is set, and we'll update this page to say exactly what's running.
Turning analytics off
Three ways, any of which work:
Install Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which blocks it on every site you visit.
Block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser can do this, and most can do it per-site.
Turn on your browser's Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting, if it has one.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
